One day, back in the late fifties, a child was born deep in the wilds of Northern Ohio who was to become many things, most importantly to the readers of this web site, William Drake became an accomplished poet, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Experimenting on piano and flute from the age of 12, he went on to learn many other instruments, chiefly guitar. He has been playing professionally in the Ohio area for over 25 years. Genres and styles have included folk, bluegrass, and Irish music to jazz, country, Southern and classic rock and blues. His songwriting sometimes encompasses many of these and more. William will continue to experiment, expand, grow and evolve until the day he dies and he invites his listeners to do the same.

Influences:
Paul Winter, Pete Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, Ravi Shankar, The Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jade Warrior, Gordon Lightfoot, Miles Davis, Bela Fleck, R. Carlos Nakai
